WE ARE LOOKING FOR  a Phlebotomy Supervisor in Wallingford, Connecticut.

A Phlebotomy Supervisor is responsible for daily oversight of all activities of the assigned area, which may include Patient Service Centers (PSCs)/Mobile/In-office Phlebotomy (IOP). Responsible for supervising a department including: Phlebotomists, Phlebotomist Floaters, and Group Leaders. Responsible for employee review, training, development, disciplinary actions as well as ensuring department compliance with all Phlebotomy and Operations procedures. Ensures maintenance of a safe, professional environment in all facilities supervised.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervises day-to-day activities within the department.
2. Ensures that excellent service is provided to the clients by monitoring subordinate activities and generating feedback.
3. Ensures that all safety requirements and company policies are adhered to.
4. Responsible for inventory control and ordering necessary supplies.
5. Trains and evaluates subordinates.


Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
AA degree preferred.

Work Experience:
3 - 5 years experience in phlebotomy or other health care environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Keyboard/data entry application. PC experience.
Customer service in a service environment.

Special Requirements:
1. Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements; weekends, holidays.
2. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license and driving record that meets company driver safety guidelines.
3. Demonstrates good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills; is able to manage concerns of patients and employees in a professional manner.
4. Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high volume setting.
5. PC skills, MS Office applications.
6. Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise consistent, independent, sound judgment.
